Stamp River Winter Steelhead Report

The river has finally changed a bit

I apologize for the lack of reports but you can probably figure out why. No real change for the last month or so. That being said the river is up to nice fishable height now and the odd fish is sneaking through. The last couple of days a couple of fish have been caught in the lower and guys were making a day out of it. With a bit of luck we can build on this for a better March. Rolly checked all the spots he could see in above the bucket yesterday and didn’t spot any in that section.

Stamp River Steelhead A few kelts starting to show up as well in both the lower and the upper and most of the summers are digging or already done.

I will be in the Shimano booth at the Fraser Valley Outdoor at Trade x this March 1st weekend. Stop by and say Hello. Also this weekend we are featured on BC outdoors Sportfishing. For this area the show is sunday at 12:30 on Chek TV.

The picture up top is from the last week. We have been fishing the upper river and it is mix bag of fish but we are consistently catching fish.

Unlike other guides on the Stamp we make sure that you catch the fish. Many of the other guides on the Stamp are great fisherman but I see more often than not they are hooking the fish and handing them off to there guests. Our guides will only fish if prompted by our guests and it doesn’t happen very often.

We offer accommodations on the river as well as the best guides around. We supply all the equipment and everything you need for a successful day. Sign up for our newsletter or like us on Facebook and you will always have the latest information.
