The late spring early summer fishing has been good again this year with quality Chinook in the teens and plump chicken Halibut. Day trips running out of Ucluelet are fishing offshore and inshore Barkley Sound with most boats getting their limits of Chinook and Halibut. Lingcod fishing has also been good this season as well. Some of the trips have been rounding up their fish coolers with a few Dungeness crabs at the end of the day. Traps are set in the morning on their way out, and retrieved on the way back in.
