West Coast Vancouver Island 2018 Fishing Outlook / Regulations:

Overview
We are on trip 7 of the season at our flagship location of Kyuquot Sound.  The fishing never disappoints and this season is no different.

The catches have been good with limits or near limits being achieved on most trips.  The size of Salmon have been increasing by the day and this beauty is an example of the 2nd tyee of the season for us.
Haiden MacDonald Kyuquot Crew Halibut 2018

Halibut fishing has been excellent with some boats reporting of challenges getting ling cod because of the halibut interruptions!

Wayne and Debra Grund July 2018   Reno Mauro July 2018 Kyuquot
Debra and Wayne Grund celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. Congratulations!   Reno Mauro and friends guided by Marley Bates showing off a great day of fishing!

So far we have been getting the fish both offshore and nearshore which has been great for those windy days.

Lots or rain so far this season and we welcome that since it keeps the afternoon westerly winds at a minimum.
