Stamp River Vancouver Island Fishing Report

Winter Steelhead

Jan 16 2016

This Weeks Highlights:

Some rain this week has given the river a nice blip in levels and some colour. This weekend there is expected to be more accumulation of rain. So far it appears that way.

Fishing has been hit and miss this past week with the low water levels. The best trip of the week was four fish to the boat and another with none.

Looking forward to seeing a new push of fish with the weather change this weekend.

This weeks weather forecast:
It has warmed up a little at the lower levels so the risk of snow has diminished and rain is in the forecast for the entire week.  The freezing level is predicted to be up over a 1000M this week so the river will come up over the weekend as there will be some snow melt.  Heavy rain possible for Sunday.
