Stamp River Salmon Fishing Report

Oct 2 2016

More Quality Fresh Fish Trickling in

Overview:

This week more Chinook have continued to enter the system.  Yesterday much to our surprise a new push of Coho also emerged in the lower system and they were biters.  The cloudy skies and light rains continue to bring in more Salmon.  A few Chum also showing up as well, but not in any numbers yet.

Anglers have been having good fishing days on spinners, bait and fly.  The water temperature has dropped now along with the water levels.  The river is about 10cm lower this weekend than last weekend so it is starting to soak up the low air temperatures at night time.  Mornings have been the best bite time but watch for mid day tide change migrations as well.
