For your Winter Steelhead Fishing Adventure

The weather in Port Alberni largely resembles the rest of southern British Columbia.  Plan on rain, snow or cold crisp winter perfect days.  So be prepared for it all.

  • Waders (by advance reservation)

  • Soft drinks/mix/water
  • Meals/Snacks

  • WIFI (your own device)
   Things to bring:
  • Fishing license with Steelhead Stamp
    (see License Information)
  • Personal toiletries, warm clothing (pants, sweater, jacket, rain jacket, etc to wear in layers)
  • Waders & Wading Boots (fishing is mostly from shore or gravel bars)
  • Hat & Sunglasses
  • BYOB…liquor store in town
