Late Fall Steelhead Fishing Report

Mid November Report

Good season for Fall Steelhead so far.

The Great Egg Munch is now underway in the upper Stamp River..... These beautiful Steelhead have been waiting weeks for this event.  The salmon have spawned and many have already descended back into the nutrient rich ecosystem. The Salmon dying is such an important part of this ecosystem rejuvenation.  Their offspring, the Bears and Steelhead all depend upon the adult salmon carcasses within the river and its edges. Anglers are gear fishing using jigs and other artificials. Fly fishing is also an option matching some local critters.
